Currently serves on ISBER’s Nominating Committee, Site Location Task Force, and Organizing Advisory Committee.

Former owner and founder of a bulk gas distributor of specialty, medical, and industrial gases and provider of life science cold chain solutions in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Former owner of a commercial biobank serving academic, healthcare, and clinical research clients located in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina.

Executive with broad experience in all aspects of product, operational and financial management.
Currently focused on Life Science and Health Care markets with extensive experience in sample
management and cold storage across key segments – biomedical R&D, biotechnology and
pharmaceutical.

Barbara has enjoyed a career of over 30 years focused on clinical laboratory and biobanking management and operations. During her time at Quintiles, Barbara rose through positions in project management before leading a team of 80 associates as Director of Pre-Analytical Services. This included the biobanking and shipping teams. She then served as VP, Compliance and Clinical Trials at a growing genomics company. More recently Barbara has supported CAP/CLIA accreditation and QMS processes.
